Olmsted County Drive Thru Testing & Public Works

Olmsted County Opens Drive-Thru Testing Site

In Cooperation with Mayo and Olmsted Medical Group, the County has opened a site for Drive-Thru COVID19 testing.

See the video: Driveup COVID Testing

Please know that one cannot just show up for testing; you must first call your physician. If you do not have a physician you must call Mayo or Olmsted.  This is the number for the triage nurse at Olmsted Medical Group:  507.292.7266.  You can also check Olmsted Medical Group’s website for more information:  https://www.olmmed.org/covid-19-information/information-for-omc-patients/march-20-2020—important-information-what-to-do-if-you-think-yo/  (I do not have a number for Mayo at this time).

Olmsted Staff is assisting Mayo Clinic at the testing site by supplying personnel from our public health and behavioral health departments.  I support our county’s Public Health efforts to attend to people’s physical health as well as their mental health.  I will continue to relay important information from our Public Health Department as it becomes available.  The Public Health Department remains the best source of information on COVID19.

Public Works is Continuing to Do Its Work

The Public Works Building is locked and not open to the public.  However, the Public Works staff is processing applications for building and land use.  Inspections are being completed.  The staff is conducting business by phone, email, and other alternate ways.  The county staff is still working and business is being conducted.
