Maintaining Our Housing Stock

Everyone deserves a safe home and everyone deserves a bed to sleep in at night.  The Olmsted County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (OCHRA) owns several low-income apartments.  Some of them were built in the 1980’s and are in need of repair.  I supported the OCHRA’s efforts to obtain a grant from Minnesota Housing to make necessary repairs in order to keep our housing stock energy efficient, safe, and pleasant.  Maintaining our housing stock is also economically efficient.  Olmsted can continue to provide housing in current stock while money is saved to invest in new housing stock.  It is important that OCHRA continue to invest in housing to provide homes for the homeless.
