I look forward to serving the people of District 3 in 2024-28

Thank you for your past support and providing me with the most votes in Primary.  I work to ensure that Olmsted County continues to serve the needs of the people in the most efficient and cost-effective way.  My goals for the next term:

I will continue to improve affordable housing and home ownership

  • Pilot the construction of starter homes at affordable rates.
  • Collaborate with the city and non-profits to increase the numbers homes
  • Support programs that will allow our elders to live well and safe at home
  • Support smart growth as our county increases its population
  • Expand the 4d tax abatement program to incentivize builders

I will work diligently to protect our environment and climate sustainability

  • Continue Olmsted’s Nitrate Reduction plan
  • De-carbonize our waste to energy facility
  • Develop a process to use food waste and organics to make sustainable energy
  • Add solar energy to county building roofs and land

I will enhance community spirit and outdoor recreation

  • Add more amenities to Oxbow and Chesterwoods Parks
  • Improve the facilities at Lake Zumbro and Root River Parks
  • Improve Graham Park so that it can be utilized for community events year round

I will maintain the respect that people have for Olmsted County

  • Continue our AAA Bond Rating
  • Continue to be fiscally wise
  • Continue to run the government smoothly, efficiently, and without drama

I will continue to work hard to keep the trust you have placed in me.

  • You first elected me in 2016 and re-elected me in 2020.
  • In 2022 the county was re-districted and you re-elected me
  • I believe in good government and maintain the respect that people and other counties have for Olmsted

Thank you for supporting me.  I care about the people in my district and Olmsted County.  I work to maintain the trust you have placed in me.  With your continued support, we can achieve these goals.

I have a record of success in guiding the county.  

My non-partisan approach allows me to be collaborative and reach good agreements to keep the county moving forward.

During my tenure

  • I supported initiative that resulted in Olmsted being named one of the Best Placed to work
  • Supported the construction of the new Nature Center
  • Met with Legislators which resulted in over 23 million for Capital Improvement and additional County Aid funding as well as funding for 44/14.
  • Supported the establishment and expansion of Community Outreach workers
  • Supported the work of Public Health which was just re-accredited (one of the few in Minnesota)
  • Supported Law Enforcement with a newly construction Regional Safety Center
  • Dedicated 2 social workers to focus on youth homelessness
  • Established a Strategic Plan for the next 5 years
  • Voted to give $15 million to the housing coalition
  • Voted to invest $5 million in a pilot program to build 10 modest homes to make them more affordable and prove that smaller and less expensive homes will sell

I Have Kept you Informed

To keep you informed in 2023, I posted items to my website 12 time with about 103 items of interest and updates on county projects.  I also included several videos and pictures.  I will continue to update the people of District 3 in 2024.

I am accessible
