HRA to open 30 units to house the homeless

The COVID19 crises has brought an increase in the homeless people in Olmsted County.  Temporary arrangements were made at the Civic Center and the Warming House extended the time to stay open.  Our County social workers worked with the homeless and found housing for many clients.  Early in July the Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) will open up an 18 room facility to provide more housing.  Later in the month another 12 unit facility will be ready to house additional homeless clients.  I supported the leasing of these facilities because everyone deserve a place to call home and a place to rest one’s head on a pillow at night.
