100thAnniversary of Graham Park
Olmsted County will celebrate the 100thAnniversary of Graham Park this summer. The land for the park was donated by Dr. Graham, a physician who worked with the Mayo Brothers, 100 years ago. Dr. Graham had a special interesting in work-horses. The Graham barns where he raised the horses are still standing; they are across the street from the K-Mart site.
More information on the celebration will be coming.
Open House for One Discovery Square
If you are interested in the first of DMC building, you can participate in the open house for One Discovery Square on June 10 from Noon to 2:00.
Improving Health in Olmsted County
Olmsted County Public Health will hold listening sessions to learn from residences what they think Public Health can do improve the health of the county, health care servers and access to health care.
Here is where you can participate:
- 6 PM April 22 at the Eyota American Legion
- 6 PM April 23 at the Rochester Eagles Club, 917 15thAve. SE; this session will focus on veterans and their families.
- 7PM April 25 at 125 Live, 125 Elton Hills Drive; this session will focus on seniors in partnership with the City for Good and AARP.
- 6PM April 29 at the Chatfield Public Library.
- 6PM April 30 at the Stewartville Civic Center.

City Streets and Bike Boxes
Monday May 5 at 125 Live, 10:00 – 10:30 you can learn about the new city street design for bike traffic. Fourth Street SW will have the new design. Learn about Minnesota laws pertaining to bike riders and motorists. You will be introduced to the rules motorists should follow on the new roads. There will be lots of time for questions and discussion. Barbara Beck will present the information; she is a League of Cycling Instructor and Board member of “We Bike Rochester”.
