Olmsted has 9,028 veterans. Our Veteran Service Officers aid veterans, their dependents, and survivors with attaining federal, state, and local benefits. These services include service connected disability compensation, non-service connected pensions, education benefits, medical benefits, assistance with housing and employment, memorial and burial programs and financial assistance for families in financial crisis.
The chart below shows ten years of client visits. In 2017, Veteran Services served 2,666 clients. Our veteran services also helps transport veterans to and from veteran medical facilities.
