Keeping Us Safe

Olmsted County licenses and inspects approximately 1,000 restaurants, public swimming pools, hotels/motels, manufactured home parks and campgrounds.  The recovery of the costs for inspections are collected through the licensing and inspections fees.  Olmsted uses a fee based systems so that the costs are not passed to homeowners through property taxes.  The end result is that the health inspections keep us safe but do not raise property taxes.
