The bidding for dredging Lake Zumbro will be open on July 31.

After about 6 years of planning, procuring permits, working with lake homeowners and townships Olmsted County will open the bidding on July 31. The timeline includes preparation for the dredging spoils to be completed in the Fall of 2018, dredging to begin Spring 2019 and hopefully concluded November/December 2019. This effort began about 6 years ago.  It was long and tedious but it will result in a recreational lake for Olmsted County residents for years to come.  This has been a process of collaboration by many parties with generous assistance from the very able Olmsted County staff.   (For more information see the April 17 posting: Lake Zumbro Dredging and Public Hearing.)
