Olmsted County HRA Approved Temporary Rental Assistance
The Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) approved $1Million in emergency funding for a temporary rental assistance program to assist renters who have been affected by COVID 19. This will assist low income renters who have been affected by the pandemic and the landlords who might otherwise lose income. I supported this HRA action.
Youth Commission Provides Tutoring Services
The Youth Commission (sponsored by the Olmsted County Board) has taken action to help school-age kids with a tutoring service. This is a free peer tutoring service. If you know of someone who needs help with school work please have them go to this website: https://livingroomtutors.org
If you know someone who would like to be a peer tutor, please direct them to the same website: https://livingroomtutors.org
I support the Youth Commission and am continually impressed by they work they do for the community. Community leaders of tomorrow can be found among the members of the Youth Commission.
