Olmsted County has used innovation to implement changes to the Child Care Assistance Program that has resulted in an administrative savings of approximately $300,000.   There is along waiting list for child care assistance, this saving will be used to reduce the waiting list by approximately 1/3 by funding an additional 90 families. This will add a lot of cases to the already heavy loads of county employees; however, the county and its employees are committed to making it work.
